The aim of the project is to unify, highlight and promote the urban space around the public garden of Paphos, providing impetus to the revival and reactivation of the historic centre, degraded and marginalised today.
The area between the 28th of October and Kosti Palamas squares becomes a pedestrian passageway, in addition to beautification.
The squares are organised around the two monuments that lead the way to the area, creating a wider public space that can serve the city’s outdoor activities and events in the best possible way.
Dionysios Solomos Square is set up in a visitor friendly shape and functionality, traffic is limited and clearly defined and the space acquires the necessary micro-scale through drawings and graffiti beautification, as well as the penetration of greenery into the square.
The project may be co-financed by the EU Regional Development Fund.
