Mayor Phedonos signed the relevant contract with Miltiades Neophytou Civil Engineering Contractors & Developers Ltd, authorising the implementation of the Colours Park project for an agreed cost of 3.7 million euro and a 9 month deadline.
The Colours Park covers an area of 32 thousand square meters and will be the ‘richest’ on the island, both when it comes to greenery as well as infrastructure. As envisaged, it will include public gathering spaces, playground and cafeteria, a tennis and basketball court, a small soccer field, changing areas, a skateboard arena, a 3-6 meter climbing wall, an outdoor exhibition area, an aromatic-botanical garden, sanitary areas, a management and information office and 83 parking spaces, including the disabled. Hundreds of new trees will be planted.
The Park also provides for service areas and citizens can come and go through a central route as well as other entrance gates.
