I have expressed many times my conviction that no mayor and no Municipal Council, regardless of how ambitious and capable they might be, could never claim that they comply fully with their work if they act without informing their citizens.

The citizen is the ultimate recipient and judge of our actions. We have to answer to our citizens who will weigh our work.

It is in this spirit that I welcome you to the official website of Pafos’ Municipality, which was set up for that very purpose:
For us to inform you and for you to inform us. To build a solid bridge of communication and receive feedback. To give an opportunity to anyone who is interested to be informed of the activities of the Local Authority and get to know us better. To facilitate citizens and simplify their everyday transactions. This is required by democracy and imposed by the modern era.

Through our website we also aspire to promote our city and highlight its ancient historical and cultural heritage. We want to inform the visitors about modern Pafos and its prospects of tomorrow. To give them a tour of the city and help them get acquainted with it. To disseminate our proposals and to give them a chance to make their own choices.
